Can you carry out the manoeuvre as required? Give reasons for your answer. A yes/no answer will not be accepted. Draught + safety margin = 2.45 m; total depth 2.8 m, so you can move.
2. Explain the characteristics of the Har Karmel lighthouse (Stella Maris). One white flash every 5 seconds, height 179 m, range 30 miles.
3. At what range will the Har Karmel lighthouse rise above the horizon, in daylight and good visibility, for an observer whose height of eye is 4 metres above the water? 32.2 miles.
